Clinical training
Clinical teaching takes place at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, where many of our staff also practise as consultants.
Research collaborations
The Department of Surgery has research collaborations with:
- Prof. R. Duda and the Harvard University team, USA, on body image and health
- Dr. L. Banka-Johnson, Malmö University, Sweden, on the surgical management of typhoid disease
- Dr. Quist-Adade, Kwantlen University, Vancouver, Canada, on the diabetic foot project
- Prof. A. Kingsnorth, Southampton University, UK, on hernias
The School’s neuroscience laboratory was established with the support of an IBRO (International Brain Research Organization) Return Home Fellowship.
