Nkechi Dike<\/strong> is a Lecturer in Anatomy and Clinical Skills in the School of Medical Sciences, University of Cape Coast. She is also an Emergency Physician and a Medical Simulation (Education) Fellow. She had her undergraduate medical education at the University of Ghana Medical School, Korle-Bu Accra and her residency training in Emergency Medicine from Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, under the auspices of Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. She also completed a Fellowship in Medical Simulation from Mayo Clinic Florida.<\/p>\n

Dr. Dike has been actively involved in coordinating Clinical Skills sessions since she joined faculty in 2012, worked closely with other clinical departments. She served as a representative of the school and in-country faculty, with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, teaching Life-Saving Skills in emergency obstetrics and neonatal care across Ghana.<\/p>\n

Dr. Dike has facilitated and presented papers at several international and in-country workshops and conferences. Her interests include incorporating Simulation-Based Education into medical curriculum with education research and developing Faculty Development Courses in Medical Education. She hopes to improve medical students\u2019 transition to clinical practice using simulation.<\/p>\n

She enjoys exploring her other super-powers outside of medicine – she\u2019s Project Management certified;\u00a0 enjoys career coaching, writing and editing books; a prolific speaker and advocate for road safety and injury prevention. She also curates different story-telling forms, and is a voracious reader of all things books.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
