He has a Ph.D. in Information Technology and an M.Sc. in Health Informatics. He and his colleagues have won some grants for research into health informatics and health information management.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. \u00a0Achampong oversees four units, namely, the<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical Education Unit<\/li>\n<li>Faculty Information Technology Support Unit<\/li>\n<li>Medical Informatics Unit<\/li>\n<li>Medical Illustration Unit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr. Achampong has twenty one (21) publications in peer-review journals as well as two published books to his credit.
