Dr. Kingsley Kwadwo Asare Pereko (PhD) is a nutrition and public health specialist. He currently is the Country Coordinator of the Peoples Health Movement Ghana and the interim President of the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. He also serve as the Vice-President of Ghana Red Cross Society having previously served many years as the Health advisor.
In the academic and research circles, Kingsley currently serves as Senior Lecturer in the School of Medical Sciences, University of Cape Coast and Head the Community Medicine Department. He was the immediate past Coordinator of the Community-Based Experience and Service programme of the School of Medical Sciences, University of Cape Coast.
Kingsley serves as a reviewer for both graduate student thesis and for local and international Journals. He serves as an external examiner for graduate thesis examination for Kwame Nkrumah University for Science and Technology and the University for Development Studies. His important research has been in Population nutrition research, the score card for Global fund in Ghana, PLWH access to ARV in Ghana and current interest in Micronutrient, Global health governance (nutrition related issues), Community Based Nutrition Programmes, NCDs and Nutrition and general public health emergency research.
